Brian King OAM

Director

Following retirement as a Company Director for businesses in Shepparton and Bright, Brian and his wife moved to Strathfieldsaye in 2018 to be nearer to family. Prior to this, Brian worked as a teacher, TAFE College lecturer and Head of Department and Manager of several community service organisations. Brian also spent many years working in the United States of America as a Licensed Healthcare Administrator in Boston MA and Manchester NH. This served him well as a Board Member and Chair of Alpine Health (Myrtleford, Bright and Mt. Beauty) for eight years – for which in part he was awarded a Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM). Brian enjoys the work of the SDCE in fostering service organisations through funding opportunities and the SDCE's role in fostering ideas and planning with the City of Greater Bendigo.
